Bible:
Pre-K and Kindergarten:
Our curriculum is Bible Grade K by Purposeful Design Publications.
Students recite 26 memory verses and Psalm 100 during the school year.
Kindergarten students also have an additional Bonus Verse each month that goes along with our chapel theme.

English/Language Arts:
Pre-K:
We focus on one letter a week.  We use Kinderphonics, Letter People songs, Heidisongs, and poems. We focus on learning sound/symbol relationships through games, songs, and center activities.  Students who show an understanding of sounding out words are able to begin reading our kindergarten reading books from Modern Curriculum Press Readers.  Students are introduced to two sight words every week through songs and "write, find, build" activities.  We use Modern Manuscript for handwriting.

Kindergarten:
We review the letters and sounds of the alphabet.  We work on expanding our phonics knowledge of blending sounds, learning word families, and sight words through songs, phonics activities, and games.  We are introduced to five new sight words every week through songs and "color, build, and write" activities.  We use Modern Manuscript for handwriting.   Our reading program is differentiated so that all students are able to build life-long skills.  When students are ready to begin reading, we have 70 phonics-based books from Modern Curriculum Press Readers for the students to read. Once a student has completed the readers, they are able to continue reading through our level one Accelerated Reader books.

Mathematics:
Pre-K:
Our math units include the following: identifying positions; pair/set and more/fewer; creating patterns; classifying objects by color, shape, & size; counting to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s; knowing formation of numerals to 30; knowing symbol and value of numerals to 30; and understanding measurement.

Kindergarten:
We use the BJU Press Math Curriculum. Our math units include the following: representing, counting, comparing and writing numbers 0 to 100; addition and subtraction; identifying and describing 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes; measuring; classifying and sorting data; time and calendar.

Science:
Kindergarten:
The curriculum consists of teacher-developed units.  Our science units include the following:  Five Senses, Pushes and Pulls, Plants are Living Things, Animals are Living Things, and God Created Earth with Nonliving Materials.  Special projects and field trips are used to enhance the units.
